Join us to mark the winter solstice in the natural space of The Lido as darkness falls.

Winter solstice honours the shortest day of the year, a time of reflection but also of looking forward to the return of daylight and the sun.

 

We’ll celebrate the shortest day with cold dips and hot saunas, twinkling lights and a crackling fire pit, under the wide sky.

Saunas and pool will be open 16:00–19.30. Sauna is bookable in half-hour timed sessions.

Then enjoy the peace in the open air beside the fire pit or in one of our indoor warm spaces.

The café will be serving a special menu of delicious warming food, and a range of hot and cold drinks including mulled cider and boozy hot chocolate.

This event is for adults (18+) only.

Online booking will only allow you to purchase a single ticket at a time. This is to ensure that every participant is known to us and has read and agreed with the the health notes. If you wish to purchase multiple tickets, you can do so in multiple online transactions, or by speaking to us if the office (weekend mornings only) where we will be happy to make your booking over the phone or in person.

                       £5 spectators

*You can combine your swim and sauna by putting both choices in your basket. Your ticket price will be automatically discounted at checkout.

Please note that you need to be fit and healthy, to the best of your knowledge, to take part in cold water swimming and sauna. Every individual ticket booked will be accompanied by a health note check.
