1:1 Lessons

1:1 lessons are private half-hour swimming lessons for any age, from infants to adults.

The teacher may be in the water alongside the learner, or on poolside, whatever your needs or preference.

1:1 lessons can also be shared by two learners, making them ideal for friends or siblings of similar abilities.


Cost per half hour lesson is £29.50 and must be booked through the office. Please call or email us to enquire.

Artistic Swimming (60 mins)

A great water-based workout for anyone aged 16+, teaching some of the techniques of synchronised swimming and working your best moves into new routines, practicing coordination and timing along the way. No experience at all is necessary, but you must be able to swim a length of the pool (25m) and be comfortable going underwater. Artistic swimming - or Synchro- provides an intensive workout, great for the core, and it’s also a fun and sociable way to exercise to music.

Beginners' Intensive Lessons

Intensive summer holiday lessons running from Monday to Friday for ages 3 and upwards, in small groups of 4 with Lido pool assistants in the water to support, and the teacher instructing from poolside.

Beginners' lessons are recommended for young swimmers at NPTS stage 1-3, who are growing in confidence in the water and likely still using buoyancy aids. The aim of the lessons is to improve water skills and begin to swim unaided, learning in a safe fun environment.

Parents/ carers are welcome to watch from poolside, and the Lido cafe will be open.

Beginners' Pilates

Pilates works throughout the body strengthening core muscles and improving posture, balance and flexibility.


The Lido's new Pilates class is a gentle class suitable for those completely new to Pilates, as well as for those returning to Pilates after a break, and is led by Alice Becker, Pilates instructor and personal trainer.


The practice of Pilates has many benefits, including a reduction in aches and pains, an improvement in sports performance and a boost to feelings of fitness, strength and wellbeing.


This class aims to build fitness safely for people of any age (16+) who are generally healthy, but it is not suitable for those with a specific diagnosis such as osteoporosis nor for those recovering from knee or hip surgery.


This is an outdoor class in the peaceful surroundings of the Lido lawn, with tented cover if wet. Please come prepared for outdoor contions and wear warm layers of clothing.


This session is limited to 12 participants.

Earlybird Yoga (60 mins)

A restorative style class using graceful yoga flow sequences, breathing practices and relaxation, to awaken prana (energy) flow, realign the body and calm the mind ready for the day ahead.

Please bring your own equipment- mat, blanket, water bottle- and wear warm layers of clothing. This is an outdoor class taking place on the grass (under tent cover if wet).

Improvers' Intensive Lessons

Intensive summer holiday lessons for children running Monday to Friday. Improvers' lessons are recommended for young swimmers at NPTS stage 4-5, who can already swim unaided using recognisable strokes. The aim of the lessons is to improve competency and technique in three different strokes, and to increase confidence and distance travelled.

Lido SUP Yoga

Yoga on a stand-up paddleboard, run in partnership with Wittering SUP.

This is a rare chance to practice yoga floating on the calm, protected water of The Lido. Each class is small- only 6 participants- and is a meditative, soothing experience, as well as being lots of fun.

No paddleboarding or yoga experience is necessary; full tuition will be given. Open to everyone aged 16+, you must be able to swim 50m.

Dress to feel comfortable and warm: over your swimwear you can wear a T-shirt and shorts, or rash vest, or a wetsuit if you prefer.

Remember that one adult in the pool may supervise up to two children under the age of 8; please stay in close contact with those you are supervising in the water at all times.

Sunday Yoga

Sunday morning Yoga with Annalisa


Start your Sunday mornings with a gentle, joyful yoga practice.


This is an opportunity to connect, centre and balance yourself, on the lovely tree-lined Lido lawn (or cosily under our stretch tent if wet!).


Our new teacher Annalisa has been teaching and practicing yoga, as well as working in health and wellbeing, for more than 25 years. She passionately believes that everyone can find a yoga practice that’s right for them. If you’re a Beginner and unsure where to start, Annalisa is the perfect guide. The class is equally accessible for Beginners and for more experienced Yogis (age 16+).

And you could also book a swim before your yoga class– for the ultimate Sunday relaxation.


We can provide mats and blocks, but you are very welcome to bring your own mat and props with you. Please dress in layers of warm comfortable clothing, as the weather can be very variable.

Swim Fit

New for 2025, this is a class based on swim technique and fitness for adults 16+, in a small group of maximum 12 swimmers. It's a hybrid of swimming tips, drills and fun circuits, designed to take your swimming to a new level. Open to all abilities, as long as you can swim 50m, you can work at your own pace and we will tailor the classes to your needs.


Swim Fit is designed by our swim teacher Jess Miles to be so motivating you won't realise how hard you're working!

Tai Chi

Tai Chi blends physical movement and meditation; it’s a gentle way to maintain health and fitness, deal with stress and enhance feelings of happiness. Each class is a complete experience and can be done as a one-off, suitable for complete beginners, but the more classes you attend the more insight and benefit is possible into this ancient practice.


Classes are held outdoors on the Lido lawn in a peaceful natural environment, and it can be done seated if you need to rest or stabilise yourself.


Come wearing warm loose comfortable clothing which allows you free movement. Wear flat-soled shoes, or work barefoot, and bring a bottle of water.


A chance to swim is included at the end of this session, so bring your swimming kit too.
