The Lido's First Aqua Ceilidh

A very special afternoon and evening of live music and dancing, and The Lido's first ever Aqua Ceilidh!

Everyone is welcome at this event, with music by Oxford folk group The Oakstone Trio and dances and storytelling from local caller Naomi Tiley. The family friendly story ceilidh will tell a folk tale through easy dances that everyone can join in with. Then we'll take it into the pool for a splashy twist on some popular ceilidh dances.

Doors open 14:30

Story ceilidh on the lawn 15:00–16:00

Food and drink break and family swim 16:00–17:30

Aqua Ceilidh 17:30–18:30

Food, drink and adult swim 18:30–19:30

Event ends 20:00

Dancing on dry land is always an option for little ones, or those who prefer not to get in the pool! We recommend Aqua Celidh only for ages 9+ (you need to be a minimum of around 4'7 or 1.4m tall to enjoy dancing in the pool and touch the bottom safely). Deep water options are also available for synchro swimmers (and mermaids).

You are welcome to arrive and leave at any time during this event, enjoy the music and dance as you please. The cafe will be open throughout the event, serving hot and cold drinks with a special food menu and a licensed bar (food and drink priced separately).
